# Wallets and Supported Networks

Wallet connection is optional. Its purpose in the current beta is to provide address and network context for Crypto Mode without changing the underlying research workflow.

## Network status

| Network  | Status                |

Network availability can vary as the beta evolves. Confirm the active network and wallet address before relying on the connected identity.

The currently available wallet layer is limited to optional identity context. `$NDT` balance displays and token-gated experiences remain planned rather than available beta capabilities.

## Read-only boundary

For user safety, the current Neurolab in-app wallet experience is treated as read-only. Connecting a wallet does not authorize Neurolab to:

* transfer assets;
* sign transactions automatically;
* trade or custody tokens;
* change a scientific report; or
* bypass a report's reliability or abstention controls.

Always review the wallet prompt and selected network before approving a connection. A connected address is an identity and holdings signal, not proof of scientific expertise or authority.

## Access remains independent

A wallet is not required for the standard Neurolab research experience. Researchers can use conventional product access and subscription tiers without holding `$NDT` or participating in a future onchain workflow.
